• Second Community RO Water Facility Inaugurated at Sardar Centre, Vastrapur; Club Targets 12 Water Stations Across the City ¡¡
Strengthening its commitment towards community welfare and public health, the Rotary Club of Ahmedabad Supreme today announced the launch of its ‘Supreme Jal Seva 2.0’ Campaign with the inauguration of its second public drinking water facility at Sardar Centre, Vastrapur.
The initiative marks another significant milestone in the club’s long-term mission of ensuring easy access to safe, clean and hygienic drinking water for citizens across Ahmedabad.
The club had earlier established its first Supreme Jal Seva facility at Orchid Centre, South Bopal, laying the foundation for a city-wide movement to provide accessible drinking water to thousands of people every day.
The newly commissioned facility was inaugurated by Shri Dharmsinh Desai, Chairman, Water Supply Committee, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, in the distinguished presence of Rtn. Naimish Ravani, District Governor, Rotary District 3055, IPP Rtn. Priti Mehra, Project Chair, Rotary leaders, dignitaries, CSR partners, donors, members of the Rotary fraternity and citizens.
Equipped with advanced RO purification and chilling systems, the facility has the capacity to dispense up to 20,000 litres of purified drinking water.
Strategically located at Sardar Centre, it will cater to the drinking water needs of underprivileged citizens, daily wage workers, commuters, visitors and the general public in and around the Vastrapur area.
The project is expected to directly benefit over 30,000 people annually, while ensuring uninterrupted access to safe drinking water throughout the year.
Speaking on the occasion, Rtn. Dilip Nair, President, Rotary Club of Ahmedabad Supreme, said:”Clean drinking water is not a privilege—it is a fundamental human right. Sharing the club’s future vision, Rtn. Dilip Nair announced that the Rotary Club of Ahmedabad Supreme aims to establish 12 Supreme Jal Seva facilities across Ahmedabad in the coming years through the generous support of donors, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) partners and philanthropic organisations. The initiative seeks to create a sustainable city-wide network of public drinking water facilities that will positively impact thousands of lives every day.
The Supreme Jal Seva 2.0 Campaign is aligned with Rotary International’s global focus area of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) and reflects the organisation’s enduring motto of “Service Above Self.” Through this initiative, the Rotary Club of Ahmedabad Supreme continues to demonstrate its commitment to delivering sustainable, meaningful and high-impact community service.
